Overland Park, Kan. – Which projects have the most promise? What investment has the best potential to drive success? To help businesses think through a new service or product or a change in direction, Veracity Consulting has hired Patrick Shore as Vice President of Innovation to launch a new service line designed to create value and spur growth by channeling the power of innovation and disruptive thinking.

Shore joined Veracity on Aug. 5 and brings decades of experience leading innovation workshops that help companies of all sizes explore ways to enhance business performance and solve common issues. The process is a way for business owners to take an idea on a trial run before any large investment (including technology) is made.

As the founder of IntelliThink LLC, a Kansas City-based strategic innovation firm, Shore worked with companies across all industries – including telecommunications, health care, sports entertainment, manufacturing and more – helping them apply innovative business solutions to a variety of successful projects. After running his own company for the past 15 years, Shore was looking for the right local partner to carry his processes and methodologies forward.

“As I did some succession planning and looked at what came next for me, I wanted to ensure what I had created would live on—and Veracity was a natural fit,” he said. “This new venture allows me to continue the work I love, expand its reach, and leverage the power of such a talented team here at Veracity.”

Veracity CEO and Founder Angela Hurt said Shore’s hire allows the company to help clients at an earlier point in their growth, when making the right decision about a new investment is even more crucial.

“Pat is going to allow us to help clients transform a simple idea into a viable goal to pursue,” she said. “The innovation workshops he conducts truly help leaders achieve more than they ever imagined possible. His reputation in the industry is stellar, and we’re thrilled that he sought us out—and even more excited to have him on board.”

In addition to innovation, Shore is able to assist Veracity with business process optimization (BPO) work as well as project management engagements. Outside of Veracity, he also serves as a mentor for UMKC’s Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
